Dream is owned by Wuhan, Saluda as far as I know does their own designs and factorywork. Made to order, but less expensive than you'd think.

Yeah but I was wondering about basic sound and build quality. I've just heard alot of people talk about them, but never really say anything and wondered what people thought.

It gonna be hard to get me to switch, but not impossible, so I keep my eyes open.

Good lighting is your buddy with cameraphones. I take all of my pics with a phone, and some bright utility lights make for some good pics.

Love the kit. Love the cymbal set-up.
Looks like a very fun kit.
    Nice choices.
    Proudly playing:
    Doc Sweeney Drums
    A bunch of snares
    A bunch of cymbals

    Off-Set double pedals

I think I love to play the drums simply because you get to hit 'em!!!

Well I'm sure you guys are all going to be pleased with your PDP's. If you have followed my posts you know that I think they are some of the best buys on the market and I have stuck up for them in many post..

With that said, I regret telling you that I sold my CX's today. As much as I liked them they had to go. I needed a new vehicle and bought a used Chevy Tracker convertable. Although the drums would fit in it, I had to almost take the top off to get them in. No problem in the summer when the vinyl top is warm but this winter when it gets cold, it just wasn't going to work.

So I bought myself a set of Custom Classic Pro Jazz drums. A year ago if anybody would have told me that I would be playing a 18" kick drum I would have bet them the ranch. But this little kit just flat out kicks butt. There have been a few small issues, but the people at Seigler hae beeen beyond super helping to get them resolved. I really like this kit. Bottom line, too many people get cought up in advertisements and drum hype. You don't have to spend a fortune to get very good, quality drums. I do have to say that I really hated to part with my PDP's but on the other hand it will be nice hauling this little jazz kit around and setting it up in small places.

P.S. You still won't believe this little 18" kick. Unmiced it's just super. I very seldom get to mic my drums but the day will come when I run this through a pair of 18" subs then look out !!!!!!!! Best wishes to the PDP family. John

Guys with Platinum kits, I play Hard Rock/ Metal and Double bass alot, and the bass drum head on my kit sound a little not metal. lol. What head have you been going with for that really heavy really punchy sound? I was thinking EMAD, but the Remo PowerSonic also popped into my head. What do you think?

On my platinums I used the Aquarian Super Kick II. That is really my head of choice for any of my maple kits.
