Concept Maple in Pearlescent White Lacquer. Really impressed with the quality of this kit. Great shells & hardware. Haven't hit it yet so no idea of it's sound. A kit I would happily keep

Yeah I hear ya, I have not played barely a lick since March and just went downstairs last night, opened up my syncopation book and did each line of 1st 2 pages 10 times each at 100bpm and boy am i rusty but halfway through it I started feeling good and felt great at the end. Broke down my kit and started cleaning her up and going to go back to a 3pc kit with new heads. Also I just ordered a brand new Pdp 3pc wood hoop bop kit. Found a steal of a deal on them now. 18", 12" 14"

I figure it will be easy and relatively cheap to add a bigger matching bass drum or toms down the road. I got the 3pc bop kit for $480 w/free shipping... Loving my popcart app.

Ordered the natural stain bop kit and received the walnut stained kit which really does not matter to me I like them both equally but it is missing the 14" FT, the legs, the claws and lugs for the bass drum and the mount that goes into the BD for the rack tom. A new kit is on the way and they told me to return whatever pieces I do not use. I bet anything the new kit is the natural stain with walnut hoops LOL.. I don't care as long as it is the whole kit. wish me luck : )

I would say $400 - $600 depending how bad you want to get rid of them. I would post it as $600 OBO

Received my 2nd kit and it is in fact a natural stain as I suspected would happen, not a big deal especially after looking at both side by side I think I prefer the natural stain. I will tell ya this little 18" kick is surprisingly boomy, it came with 2 traingle shaped pillows and I stuck both inside, 1 against each head and she sounds fantastic even w/o a port hole. So far I really like this kit much more than I thought I would even with stock heads.

For some reason both kicks came with 2 different style reso heads so I chose the one from the walnut stain kit and shipped the other back. My only small complaints as of now are I could not get any of the lugs to screw all the way in by hand, and the memory locks do not line up symetrically. Also the floor tom does not have any memory locks for the legs.

yeah i really want to find just an 18" kick to match my kit. I would love to add it and then travel with it for small gigs!
I used the stock heads for awhile also cause I felt the coated head sounded decently good!

I just cannot get this 14" wooden hoop floor tom to sound anywhere near good. I figured stock heads were crap because even the 12" sounded bad till I switched the batter to a Vintage coated emperor. I do not have one for the 14" so I put a used coated vinatge ambassador but ughhh so I figured well that was on a snare and probably stretched beyond being useful on a tom so I ten put a new frosted 14" frosted EC resonant on the top and even worse, completely horrible.

Going to buy a 14" vintage emp. for it and maybe a clear amb. on the bottom unless someone else has experience with these wood hooped 14" floor toms? Hope it is the head selection so far but damn Right now it is so bad I cannot even play it and thats rare for any floor tom in my experience with just about any head on it.

Why the pitch bend on the twelve? Is that your "go to" or preference?

I personally like the pitch bend from high to low as I feel it gives a nice lead into the next drum... not sure how to type what I thinking/saying. I like the initial bite and then the follow through bend
