Indeed, very nice innovation from meinl! Pretty cool little accessory, I can't wait until its been on the market for a while and I can find a used one, the new price is a little more than I want to spend on that sort of thing. Put a little block or cowbell on a pedal on your other foot and you'd have a really sweet setup there BC!

I just bought the hand help Cabasa - its really cool and sounds great with many songs and stlyes. I shake it and hit it on my palm, then twist and get that long spinning sound on it. Very fun to play and had a lot of good comments from the audience at my church and other band members. Plus it cuts thorught the drummer on songs where my Congas wouldn't be heard anyway.

I'm more interested in the chrome congas sitting next to him. I look on Meinl's site, but no info is posted. Anyone know what they are?

Those are Meinl Fibercraft congas. I don't know if they still make the silver ones though. All I've seen were the red, black, and blue ones. I hope this helps.

That is brilliant! It would work well with a set too for a change of pace.

Yes, they also sell the hand version cabasa. That was the original then they just modified it and mounted it to a pedal with a patent of course to make the foot one you see here.

I would like to have the foot cabasa to play while I'm sitting and playing my cajone, it would really add to the mix.

I agree! I wish I would have bought one back when I had my Meinl String Cajon.
