Default One of the MOST interesting drum related vids EVER!!!

I caught this on youtube - MAN!!!! this is seriously like intensely interesting. I vote this for sticky nomination purely because this should always be easily visible just so people can see:

    1. What those hits do to their heads
    2. what those hits do to their cymbals
    3. what all those hits potentially do to your body
    4. just how freakin GOOD/FAST Mike Mangini is.

If that vid doesn't make you go "Holy Crap!" - your not alive

WOW.........that was pretty interesting to watch what hitting the snare and cymbals in slow motion really looks like .

I know! tell me about it! Like you don't even realise just how much flex there is - and mike tends to use fairly tight tunings and things on his kits, so when you see all that flex and rebound in the skins.....it just blew my mind.

the other thing that got me was when they tested him on the drumometer. to see that every stroke was an individual stroke, not some sort of drag or bounce technique......that blew me away aswell. Like i know he is more than just speed - he's not called the king of polyrhythms for nothing, but his speed, at least as far as his hands go is unparallelled - and this shows it's no fluke.
