Hey, Glad to be back. Was wondering what the difference is between an 8th. note beat and a shuffle? How do you play these different?

hmmm how to explain this online. I'll give it a shot 8th notes are played/counted "1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and".... a shuffle is based on a triplet feel "one trip let, two trip let" and only the first and last beats of the triplet e are played, so you end up with what sounds like a heartbeat ...dun dun..dun dun..
