Default Kick pedals for clown feet people

    G'day all

Long time watcher, first time poster (yeah whatever lol)

I am a pretty tall guy and unfortunately have size 15 feet (american I think) which has always given me a lot of grief when it come to heel toe. I have good speed without using that technique but would love to be able to do it.

I have tried searching online for longer pedals and have only come up with Axis Longboards (bit too pricey for me - would like something a little cheaper).

Does anyone know of any models that are unusally long, or better yet are made for people with rediculous clown feet like me? To give you an idea, I currently play a Tama Starclassic birch 7 piece kit with duel driven DW pedal. Hopefully if I can find a suitably long pedal I can get it in double kick style which I am wanting to learn to play.

I have looked at the Vruk as well, and initially that seems like a good idea too.

Any thoughts / pearls of wisdom?

    Cheers.

    Welcome to DC, Shannon.

The Axis longboards are the only ones I know of, but the big foot pedal question does come up pretty often so I'm sure someone can help.

I am afraid I'm with CycleDude on this one. I only know about the Axis Longboards. I am sure that you are not the only drummer that faces this problem, though, so there must be other solutions out there.

Hi Shannon and welcome to the Forum. Actually, there was a similar posting several months ago about this very same thing. I recall my response that you might want to adjust your drum throne height and relative seating distance behind the drum set so that you can find a spot or position that will make it more comfortable for your feet.

The Trick Pro V Bigfoot pedals are more expensive but are the only other choice. Perrsonally heel toe isnt wurth it too me because i can go fast without it.

Thanks for the advice guys (should have done a search for posts on it myself lol). Seems as though it is something brought up often. I am overseas at the moment (Army deployment) but when I get home I will definitely be checking out those Trick Pro Bigfoot pedals, and also that Vruk i mentioned. Will give you guys an update on what I find!

    Cheers,

if i remember right i saw a vid on youtube of tim waterson addressing this issue, with some sort of attachment that goes with most pedals that will extand the board. i'm at work atm - so can't do much searching, but if i remember later i'll see if i can track it down again. i saw it a couple of years back though....

Hey AS, Welcome to Drum Chat!!

I think you might also try the Pearl Powershifter Elminator pedals.....they really offer some adjustability options. I wear a size 13 shoe and they're fine for me, but then again I play heel UP.

That would be a much less expensive option if you're comfortable with them.
