Here are the criteria for becoming a Mod:

    1. You are a member of the clergy.
    2. You are a former DJ now working at Wally World.
    3. You are a touring drummer.
    4. You are a female or other minority in the drumming world.
    5. You have owned at least one of every single drum kit ever made.

    Did I miss anyone?

Mods are selected by senior staff or the owners of the site. You don't become a Moderator by making 10,000 posts. It's not a contest.

Why do psychics have to ask you your name? And how come you never heard of a psychic winning the lottery?

Ummmm, if I might add a small technically.

You have to be able to spell moderators, first.

This...." Modderators??? " isn't helping your case.

    Way TMI GF!!!!

Norske, you have a way way of getting right to the heart of it!

MM, to make sure that your question is taken seriously, there is no criteria related to the number of posts that are made, however, the administration would like to see that a potential moderator does log on more than occasionally, and that they would be people that know, and follow the rules of the forum. Finally, there has to be a need for additional moderators. The administration usually recognises the need and simply taps someone on the shoulder and asks if they would be willing to moderate. The pay is great. Let's see, when I became a super moderator, I was told that my pay would double. What's 2 X 0? Moderators really do have to be willing to serve the Drum Chat community.

Norske, you have one of the criteria wrong--

    2. I am a former TALK SHOW HOST now working at Wally World!

Actually, mods and super mods are chosen based on several factors (how they handle themselves in the forum and Shoutbox and how they communicate with other members, for example). Religious affiliation, media participation, cuteness, touring experience and/or the make(s) of the drums you own are at the bottom of the list! (And if the number of hand drums you owned was a factor, I would NOT be a mod! Many of my brother hand drummers are way ahead of me on that, man!)

I refer you to drummer if you have other questions!
keep the beat goin' ... Don't keep it to yourself!

    Charlie

"If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away." --Henry David Thoreau, "Walden," 1854

"There's a lot to be said for Time Honored tradition and value." --In memory of Frank "fiacovaz" Iacovazzi

"Maybe your drums can be beat, but you can't."--Jack Keck
