As one who has made a few leaps from perfectly good aircraft, I can certainly verify that there is no better feeling than going from 130 knots to 15 knots in about a second. And that open mind stuff is OK too.

AirBorne/AirAssault no better feeling all around. Slip left, Slip Right, no winds on the DZ On Repell, well I prefer Ausi style over traditional and commando is pretty neat too but I like Ausi best.

Australian is definitely the best. Did a 300 ft. Australian in Korea. That was fun. But it's no way to enter combat. Fast rope is where it's at as far as that goes. We timed it once and got 9 men and their gear out the door and the crew chief cut away the rope in 19 seconds. It would take about 19 minutes to do that on rappel.
