    Default Little drummer boy....

I went to a world drumming concert last night, preformed by 5th and 6th graders. I was surprised by how good they all were. But the highlight of the evening was my autistic brother on the hand drums. He didn't mess up once.. He knew when to break and when to jump back in... It was awesome.

    Very cool.

I heard an interview with a woman who is autistic. She is an animal trainer and had written a book about her condition. It was on Public Radio. Super interesting.

Autism is a condition that affects the brain in early childhood. It can affect social interaction, communication and imagination.

And Drummerchick, Kudos to your brother. He's done a great job!

    Thumbs up Little drummer boy...

Give your little 'bro a hug for me (from one "bongo brother" to another)! Too many people write off autistic children as being incapable to do anything...but thank God there are people who care enough to work with them. (I'm sure you are one of them!)

That had to be an awesome Christmas present for you and your family!

BTW, little 'bro, keep playin' those hand drums and...
keep the beat goin' ... Don't keep it to yourself!
