I would suggest looking for a local drum circle to get your feet wet. Look
for any drum clinics being held and get some real time lessons. Ask around
your GC drum section and check for any fliers for either one. Great choice
btw. I play congas and djembe and been hooked for years

I might have to wait on the djembe to buy another cymbal

then evidently you don't want one that bad after all.
i played a meinl djembe at my local music store and it was really great! one of the best sounds i've ever heard. the best one was a handmade one. anyway, it cost a bit over $200 so it is quite pricey and i doubt it incl a bag.

Yea ive been building my set for years and its soo close and all I need is one more crash for it to be where I want it so im choosing to complete it before I get a djembe. A local store here im friends with the owner who said when I get the money he'll give me a deal on the djembe I wanted.

Beetbox, might want to take a look at the Free Lessons section at DrumBum.com; you'll find a few things to point you the right direction...

You'll love your djembe as much as Jack and I do!

You should check the amazing movie called "The Visitor". The plot includes one man teaching another the djembe. You even get to see their first lesson. It is inspiring!
