    can someone help me with this a just bought a new drumskin powerstroke 3 clear does anyone have this size 22" how can i tune this thank you in advance

    i try to get the head as low as possible and match the snare pitch

    look up bob gatzen on youtube

    he has a good video on kick drum tuning

    Every drum head is tuned the same way. Start with one tension lug then go directly across. From there, go two lugs to the right and then directly across from the. When you follow this pattern you do not over stress one tension lug over another. You get equal tuning. Now, when you tune each lug, the first step is to simply finger tighten each screw. Then use the drum key and start with 1/2 turn of the key. Then turn each 1/4 turn. When done, tap drum each head about 1" in from each lug and listen for pitch. Your purpose will be to get each lug tuned to same pitch. Doing this should get you in the pitch range that you like to hear. From there, you now tweak the tuning to your liking: low pitch for loud volume in your face playing to higher pitch for Latin and Jazz. With the PowerStroke 3, you may want to add some internal muffling to the bass drum either by felt strips or pillow system. One more thing, when tuning the drum heads, don't forget about tuning the Reso heads...they are just as important, if not more so, than the batter heads.
    There's a lot to be said for Time Honored tradition and value.
