As the title states, what replacements/ repairs have you made?

    I'll start.

Re-skinned the snare and my 13in tom, replaced my hi-hat symbols, got my hi-hat stand repaired after I broke it, had my bass drum pedals repaired repeatedly before I was experienced and knew what had happened, replaced my 16in crash with an 18in crash after my 16in one got a crack in it. I think that’s all.

Replaced my original set of cymbals.
    Replaced cracked crash.
    Repaired double kick pedal.
    Replaced snare/tom heads.

That's about it, my kits been pretty durable.

Let me see...on my DW kit, which I bought in '94...replaced 2 cracked cymbals... replaced the kick drum spurs...new heads on the toms about a dozen times...new snare heads probably 30 times (a guess)...I just upgraded all the tom/cymbal stands (replaced with new ones)....and I think I am about to upgrade all the drum hardware to 24k gold.
Word to the wise : don't mess with the drummer.

I fixed bent fuel rods in the space shuttle yesterday. Does that count?

Seriously, I've been playing so long, I've pretty much done it all. Everything from replacing a broken beater with a screwdriver to substituing a clap machine for a snare drum when I left the snare at home. Talk about an interesting gig! lol

I was doing this gig in a park with a Top 40 band. Well, I showed up last minute and realized I'd left my snare at home. We were about to start so I didn't have time to go home and get it. The singer had this cheezy little hand-held electronic clap machine thing. I don't know where she got it but the claps sounded really stupid. It wasn't realistic at all. Well, I thought if nothing else, it would provide a backbeat so I asked her if I could use it. I took duct tape (where would we be without duct tape!) and strapped it to my snare stand and played that thing the entire show. It worked great...but man what a long gig!

Well I just got a new boom cymbal stand from ebay (cheap generic) and had to do some fixing from the start. Lucky I know how to rivet ...

I'd advise strongly against buying anything but name brand cymbal stands.

I have been playing over 40 years & I like to tinker with stuff. I have refinished several drums. modified a lot of hardware Added & removed RIMS mounts. I think they suck! Changed hundreds of heads. Redid bearing edges.
I LOVE working on drums. & making them sound & look better.

That would be a negative for me, i have not bothered putting money into heads nearly worth as much as my drums since they are pearl targets. Im waiting for my Mapex pro m to come in before i start on head replacements.

You've never had to replace a head commi? Never split or dented a head?

Even if you haven't you really should replace the heads once in a while to make your drums sound good. If you leave the heads on for too long, they stretch and lose their resonance.

Oh man, if I wrote down everything I've done I'd be here for a week. Here's a small sampling:

Replaced about a gazillion heads, replaced snare wires, replaced snare throwoff, custom built 3 different rack systems, built custom mic booms into rack, cut down cymbals that were cracked, replaced pedal bearings, etc...
