The Drum Rudiments Thread

Hey peeps , it's been a lot of years - and funny to come in here after such a long hiatus and see what's changed. I've practiced a lot over time and have many more drum rudiments mastered.

Again, welcome back. Out of curiosity, which ones did you learn over and above what you already knew?

I improved my double stroke roll significantly to where it's controlled where before I was playing some mix of a buzz roll and it was sloppy. I also started using flams and more versions of the paradiddle an inverted paradiddle for some fills. I never sat down with the rudiments like that but I would find a drum fill I like and learn it from You Tube and they would explain the drum rudiment in the fill. So, I learned them indirectly. I still want to literally sit down with the 40 drum rudiments one day and see how many I can play. Or maybe I won't because it will make me look like I can't play, haha!
