Hi Can I use a bass guitar amp as a speaker for my electronic drums?

Personally, I don't believe you will get any bottom end and will be disappointed. 35W is nothing. I fear you would destroy that 8" speaker in no time.

You also will not get the clarity for the highs your ekit can deliver.

You would be wiser looking at a stereo two way system. I have a pair of Peavey "PA" cabinets that each have a 15" woofer and twoway horns in them. I run it through a 500 watt stereo amp.

Lastly, I need to ask you to remove the link. It's on conflict with the rules of DrumChat.

I took the liberty to upload the photo of the amp for you....

What Bish said, A 15" keyboard amp is the minimum required, I wouldnt go less than 100 watt and thats just as a mointor for practise.

a bass amp will not have the full range required. good luck.

Would this be for practice or stage??
For stage, I would recommend going through the PA. For practice, a keyboard amp, as suggested will be fine. At least 100 watts!

    Check out Carvin and Roland.

Dont rush into purchasing an amp if you are currently not in a band, Wait until you get in a band and see what Front of house [FOH] PA system they have.
If you are going to be using an e kit for live performances the "band" will need to have a decent system with subs preferably.
I am in a couple of bands and I also job out occasionally, depending on the gig and the bands pa system I can take either a 100 watt keyboard amp for monitor and foh.
But with the funk band I need my 200 watt sub and heavy duty 550 watt top end just as a monitor!! There foh pa is 2x 800 watt powered subs and 3 way 15" jbl's for the top end driven by 2x bryson amps!!!.

Power is everything and power comes at a price and size.

Keyboard type speakers/amps (woofer with horn enclosure or a subwoofer with satelites) typically have the ability to reproduce the wide range of sounds e-drums make. ABC
