im sure there is some reasoning behind this, but why does it do this in the shoutbox?? i have to admit its halarious when someone does it over and over. am i the only one who doesnt know why? & > plunge says the guitarists did it!

It's because the ampersand and greater than symbols are part of the html code so it gets confused and thinks it needs to decipher. There's a character you can use before it to make it ignore that, but I gotta look it up , it's been a while since I coded any html
