    Question Mapex QR review

I have one and think its a nice wee kit and its pretty cheap too.
Its a nice finish i have mine sparkly black
The hardware is good for a starter kit
I find the toms good they are easy to tune and provide nice sounds.
The snare can be tuned to a nice snappy sound too!
What are your thoughts on it?

That you should get into more detail. How about the finish, the hardware, the sound?

What heads do you like best? Have you played them out in public?

How are they to tune? Do they sound how you expect them to?

I agree almost everything from Mapex is brilliant. The hardware is practically indestructible

I've essentially got the same kit but with a lacquer finish instead of a wrap. I've seen a couple of those QR wraps in person and they're killer.

I'll go do a VX review...

I have a QR Voyager kit (with 18" bass drum) that I picked up on clearance from Musician's Friend. For what I paid and the quality I received, it was a stellar deal. I don't see needing to upgrade for a LONG time. After tuning and putting e-rings on all the drums, even with the stock heads it sounds great! It looks awesome and everything is solid. If this is their entry level kit, why even bother with the more expensive ones?
