Is this a national chain or is it just a local drum shop in your area? If it is just a local drum shop in your area, this is a worldwide forum so I doubt if there are that many people that have been to it on this site.

There used to be a place in Tampa Florida called Throughbread Music that was this GIANT drum shop!! Man, I loved that place. It hasn't been around for probably 10 years now..... Has anyone ever heard of it? Been there?

    Cool drummer dude

Never heard of Pro Percussion, dude, but Guitar Center is pretty much across the country. Sorta like the Wal-Mart of musical instruments...hate to say it, MetalDrummer, but Guitar Center is probably the reason Thoroughbred Drums and a lot of other locally-owned drum shops are no longer around...

My drum teacher (and long-time buddy) says Guitar Center can buy 500 or 5000 of a given drum kit and afford to lose a few bucks on each one 'cause they make up for it in volume... by comparison, little guys like him can buy only five or six at a pop and his profit margins are tighter than the heads on my bongos, man...
keep the beat goin' ... Don't keep it to yourself!

"There's a lot to be said for Time Honored tradition and value." --In memory of Frank "fiacovaz" Iacovazzi

"Maybe your drums can be beat, but you can't."--Jack Keck

Yea... this place was about the size of a supermarket. Huge! They always advertised in the back of Modern Drummer and all of the old music mags (Circus, etc.) Too bad... They were awesome....
Oh, don't forget about Sam Ash - they're across the country too. I love that place!!!
