NR, I like the first one. The name stands out better on that one. BTW, I really like the shadowing. It really makes the whole poster feel more professional.

Nice work NR. I agree with Yohin...he's on the right track. The font on #2 is much bolder but the red in #2 POPS out at you!

How many bands is this for you now? Up to three?

Maybe you could mix the two? I think they both look great! The Band name on the first one really pops out and grabs you, though!

i love how the letters are raised.

if we are getting picky though, the wing on the right goes further than the one on the left, just needs shifted a tad to the left. can you raise print savage like you did the rest? one last thing, i still love the font for savage on the second one, can you try that one too?

Ain't Photoshop fun?(Dangerous , too!) I think your type overpowers your other image.The bird needs the crispness of the type, so re-draw the bird at the size of the poster. Problems always come up with importing a small image, enlarging it(it now gets fuzzier) and placing it with crisp-looking type.That's why the shadow/emboss filter helps a little.
Keep at it. Band Graphics is a tough field!

I'd Have to agree with Slinglander. talk to the band about redesigning their logo/bird thing or at least giving you a full resolution copy to work with. Try modernise the logo, sort of what metallica keep on doing. because if you keep on using fonts from photoshop they're going to get overused and people will spot them as photoshop fonts.

RN, I like the red font Savage too! and its hard for me to visulize Northern Redneck playing ACDC! lol..
