In fairness, he's just a dumb teenager. He said he was 15 in his thread about auditioning for some death band, so "judgement" was probably not his best attribute. I'm not flaming him, but seriously, we were all teens once and some of y'all have raised teen boys. It is what it is.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.
Inst That a bit harsh calling him dumb Cycle,

I dont know if he can visit as a guest, but if You are watching subrick I hope you can move on and learn from this incident.
I still think you had some nice speed and natural ability in your playing man.

We all make mistakes, its just takes time to realize and learn from them.

Maybe you're right. What I meant was more of a generalism about being "a dumb teenager". I wasn't saying that he personally was dumb. God knows I did dumb things as a teen and I'm sure we all have. We look back at ourselves and the first thing we'll say is "Back when I was a dumb teenager, I did......"

    That's all I meant.

Still, bottom line is when the big cheese says to cut it out and you challenge it, then that action in and of itself is not smart.

I never saw him doing anything wrong... (I know nobody sees me around, but I do quite a bit of lurking) I do think the rules here are a bit strict. I know him on another forum, and he seems like a pretty nice person.

    Oh well.

It goes like this...the Forum is Universal with its membership. That means drummers of all ages and gender are welcome to join and participate in the exchange of knowledge, wisdom and experiences that you cannot buy anywhere. It is also a venue where some may post videos of their playing and receive critical advice from our more experienced members. In so doing, all that is asked is that we keep the language clean; and the inferences, both Political and Religious, respectful for all.
Subrick couldn't abide by that. Can you?

    Cool Re: Subrick

you hit that right on the head. i think drummer should copy that into the forum rules. that is exactly how it is here. i for one love how much advice ive gotten, and that although im a teenager and have only been playing for 4 years, that my advice is taken, and that i have something to contribute to not only the drumming community, but to music itself. so thanks guys! drumchat allows me to do and know that

Well, I missed it!! Like Drummer said we have to follow the rules. If there would be no respect around here, I wouldn't come back. I truly enjoy the posts. They are both informative and fun. Everyone here does a great job, and I do consider this site a family.

Respectfully, feel free to leave if you don't like it here. Nobody's making you stay. There are plenty of forums out there that let you say and do pretty much anything. This is not one of them. There are reasons for that and its all been explained before.

I know him on another forum, and he seems like a pretty nice person.
Yea, he seemed that way to me too, but when asked to follow the rules, he was defiant.

Indeed it is time to move on to drumming. - Thread closed.
