good head and as I said you have to find what you like and that is the problem can get to be a bit much. I use EC2 and love them but might not be right for you. Heads and tuning are a personal thing. Nuff said

i used those and loved them but almost every time i buy heads i ussually always get a diffrent kind my next buy to try out the sounds and when im done with all this head trying ill get the ones i like the most i currently use remo vintage a's i really like them but im trying to find the perfect head for prog rock

I have had good results with clear and smooth white emps on the batter side of the drum.. for snare, I am torn between Remo CS reverse coated, Aquarian HiEnergy and Evans ST/power center....
Kick drum first choice is EMAD second is SKll.

I am entering into experimental phase with the Renowns...

I like the Remo clear Emps for batters and Remo ambassadors for resos.

I always liked the coated ambassadors for snare batter, but my last snare had a powerstroke 3 which was cool too. My Gretsch catalina maple snare still has the stock batter.

I just took my ec2 clears off and have some remo coated emporors. Huge upgrade over the ec2's, atleast for the deep sound I am looking for. I have evans g1s for reso heads, evans emad on bass drum and remo coated ambassador on snare.

I never liked the EC2's for some reason, they sounded a bit plasticy. I would say all in all I prefer Remo for toms and snare batters but Evans for kick drums (You can't beat a good EMAD on the kick). I've heard a lot of good things about the combo of the Evans Coated G2's over Evans Clear G1's

im currently using a full set of ambassadors but like EC2S over ecs or G1 reonants. and for the snare i like genera dry over ec, g1s or hazy 300 reonants.
