...trying to weasel out of getting her a gift ?
Drums are not a melodic instrument. Unless you tune 4 or 5 drums to a relative pitch, It's probably not going to sound that good. Here's two options:
1. Sing it while you play it on drums.
2. Just get her a gift. That's what she wants anyway.
I hhave got her gifts already!!! Haha
Just thought it would be cool to try and do for her
Ok ... I was just having fun with you . So go on Youtube and look at some of the acapella versions of the birthday song . Then learn one and then sit at your kit and play along to your singing using brushes . No fancy tom fills or stick twirls , there is NOTHING you can do with those drums that is going to impress her (except maybe selling them) . Most women hate the fact that we are drummers and only put up with it cause it keeps us happy . So don't rub it in .
Boy I hope you have a really good present to make up for your singing ...
Seriously good luck and I hope you two have many happy years together .
Cheers..
Rudy .

Remember when you sing the "Happy Birthday to <girlfriend's name> " that's when you play the cymbals a lot
then you finish with "Happy Birthday to you" boom tap tap crash
Just play the Beatles version.

"Too many crappy used drum stuff to list"
Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!
"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham
find a group of friends who play instruments and do a rock version \m/
