Buckling down and getting ready for Ole Harvey. We are about 2 hours inland but the weather dude is still saying torrential rain and 50-70 mph winds where we are. My mom and sister live 20 miles north of Corpus Christi and they are riding it out. Crazy, stubborn, Texas women...
Growing up on the coast, you get accustomed to this lifestyle but this one seems to have everyone's attention a little more. See y'all on the other side.
Still above sea level,
Tex
Randy, if you happen to come floating past North Carolina, bring Jessica with you.
I feel your stress. Bahamas is right in hurricane alley as well. Still frightening though I have experience.
all the best...
I'd love to experience a tropical hurricane once
I was talking to my daughter last night -- she is preparing as well.
She got her Masters degree last May and signed a contract to teach musical theater in the Hays SD.
She just recently moved into Kyle, Texas.

Prepare for the worst. Hope for the best. Good luck.
It sounds like Atlantis may be resurfacing.
Good luck to you and any others that may be affected by this.
Just a suggestion but I wouldn't order anything for delivery from the big trucks. It may take additional time to ship....no pun intended.
Wave for it.....I said, ship. LOL

Well overall we've faired well. Except for our back fence...

Wow, that storm we had that took out the neighbors tree did more damage here. My daughters' trampoline was sent several houses away and was demolished to scrap metal. lol

Glad to hear that damage was minimal.

Wow! I hope you folks in that area are ok? Thoughts go out for those in harms way!
Glad to hear you and your family are safe and sound.
One year ago in the Great Flood of 2016 we faired ok for the first couple of days but then the river flooding got us. We ended up with 16" in the house, lost just about everything in it, and spent the past year rebuilding from scratch. Fortunately, we had the good judgement to get flood insurance long ago even though we weren't required to do so. But all in all we consider ourselves blessed because everyone in our family survived and there were a lot of people who got it much worse than we did. Most are still rebuilding and some have just started.
Best of luck to you and stay safe ... the aftermath is scary ...

Where is Moses when you need him?
He done left Chicago. Heard he was bound for New Orleans. No.....wait.......that wasn't Moses.
Moses would be handy...he could part the flood waters and all, but judging by the photos, I'd say Noah would be the MVP. (Most Valuable Prophet).*
*Technically, Noah wasn't really a Prophet, but it makes for a good pun.

"Too many crappy used drum stuff to list"
Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!
"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham
