Thanks MDK! It's a 2017 totally impractical Mustang.

It’s not impractical...it’s purpose built. It does exactly what it was designed to do, and it does it exceptionally well. It’s only impractical if you attempt to use it for something it was not designed for!

I agree with you, but, you know and I know that 95% of the people that buy GT's will never have it on a dragstrip, and that's what this car was made for. My car will probably never see the strip, but it doesn't stop me from playing with the power when I'm on the highway.

Where I live is like "Mustang Town". I have been here for 6 years, and I have only seen, at best, 3 Camaros and a couple of Challengers (that belong to people that I know live here) Mustangs are everywhere, from Boss 302's to a young woman who owns a ( I think it's a 2008) Shelby GT500.

    Back in the early '70's, I also had a thing for Fairlane GT's. I had 2 '66 GT's, and 2 '67 GT's (1 was a GTA, and 1 was a convertible), all with the 335HP 390.

    I think you've been GT'd for life.

    Must be nice.

I've had two but only one was a GT. Alas, as long as I choose to gig, I'll be an SUV'r. I could haul drums in my mustang ... with the top down.

I still own my ‘04 GT. It now has some paint issues, (110K miles) but other than that, it looks like new. It has a MAC air intake, 70mm TB, Trick Flow plenum, Roush X-pipe w/high flow cats and a Pypes 2.5” 304SS cat-back exhaust.

That little “gem” in front of it is my ‘93 Ford Festiva....probably one of the cleanest ones in the Midwest. It has Mazda 323 wheels, lowering sport springs and a 1.6L engine swap from a Mercury Tracer (original was 1.3L).

I rebuilt the engine and transmission, installed a high performance rally camshaft (imported from Australia) and ported the head myself. It runs, but needs new valve springs...so it just sits in the garage collecting dust.
I also have an ‘86 Lincoln Mark VII LSC and a ‘62 Galaxie 2DR sedan that’s been awaiting installation of this motor for 30yrs..

Someday, if I ever quit messing around w/drums, I may have enough time/money to actually finish something, LOL

Last November, I had a college girl decide to make a RH turn right into the front corner of my van. She got a ticket and her insurance settled with me. They totaled my van and offered me $1600 plus I keep the van (which I paid $800 for in November of 2017). I put the money in the bank, and I’m still driving the van every day, LOL. At some point, it’s gonna die (250K miles), but until then, I’m gonna drive it.
