I want one of those so bad! Makes tuning a lot less of a hassle.
I picked up a 16" lazy Suzan type spinning wheel platform for messing with my snares and whatnot. Only $25.00 so what the heck! I tune my new heads with a key and my index finger then I use a stick after l put it the stand. I figure it will come in handy. LOL.91m3Lb7cnEL._SL1500_.jpg

I have two of them and they are soooooo helpful! !
Nice Lazy Suzy! Can't tell you how many times I walk through the 'kitchen appliance' isle and passed these things up. Changed my fair share of heads back in the day but it never occurred to me to use one.
Great idea. I used to have a Lazy Suzan, but I divorced her..

Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!
"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham
I'm mildly amazed there's no DW bashing as of yet on this thread...
Used one of these for years. Put my own piece of carpet on also. Bought an 8" one & works perfectly. Used it this afternoon to tune my new heads
